Gifford has a number of charitable organizations for children which include Childhelp and the Association to Benefit Children. They gave birth to Cassidy's House and Cody House which was named in honor of her children. An ardent humanitarian, she was awarded an honorary degree from Marymount University for her humanitarian efforts in the field of labor relations.
